Privacy policy
Version of October 12, 2026
Draft: this document is being prepared for legal review and may change.
Ovyd is a non-profit learning project for teens aged 13–17. Here we explain what data we collect, why, who can see it and how to delete it. In short: we collect only what’s needed, don’t sell data and don’t show ads.
1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email and password (the password is stored only in encrypted form — we can’t see it).
- Sign-up form: region, town or village, school.
- Consent records: that you accept these rules and that your parents have given consent, plus the version date of the documents.
- Learning: progress in try-outs, quiz results and your verdicts after try-outs.
- Technical data: cookies needed for the site to work (see section 7).
2. Why
- so you can log in and pick up where you left off;
- to put your name on your certificate;
- to build “My path” from your verdicts;
- to understand which regions and schools people join from (in overall statistics, without names);
- to improve try-outs based on anonymous usage statistics.
We don’t sell or share personal data for advertising, and we don’t show ads.
3. Parental consent
Ovyd is made for teens aged 13–17. When signing up, the teen confirms that their parents or other legal guardians know about it and have consented to data processing.
If parents didn’t give consent, they can contact us and we’ll delete the account and all related data.
4. Who has access
- You — to all your data and verdicts.
- The Ovyd team — to keep the service running and answer requests.
- The LearnHouse platform that runs the courses — as a technical service storing accounts and progress.
- Other students can’t see your name, school or verdicts — Ovyd has no public profiles or rankings.
5. Anonymous analytics
To understand which try-outs are useful, we collect anonymous usage statistics: which pages and try-outs are opened and how many materials are completed. These statistics contain no name, email or school, and can’t identify a specific person. We collect them only with your consent (see section 7).
6. How long we keep data
Data is kept for as long as your account exists. When the account is deleted, we delete the personal data; only anonymous statistics remain.
8. Your rights
You (or your parents) can ask us at any time to:
- show what data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete the account and all data;
- withdraw consent to data processing — which means deleting the account.
9. Data protection
We transfer data only over secure connections, store passwords only in encrypted form and give access to data only to those who need it to run the service.
10. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we’ll announce it on the site. The version date is shown on this page. For questions about your data, contact us using the details below.
