How Ovyd helps teens choose — without pressure
Ovyd is a non-profit learning project for teens aged 13–17. Nobody picks a career “for life” here — they try different things and honestly work out what fits.
Ovyd in 30 seconds
Free and non-profit
Every try-out, the quiz and certificates are free. We don’t sell courses or show ads.
Trying instead of guessing
A short course and a day in a professional’s shoes show a career from the inside — before choosing what to study.
No rankings, no competition
Teens only compare themselves with themselves. “Not for me” is a normal, useful result.
Safety and data
We collect only what Ovyd can’t work without — and explain why.
- Name and email — to log in and to put the name on the certificate
- Region, town and school — to understand where people join from; only the Ovyd team can see it
- Progress and verdicts — to pick up where they left off and build “My path”
- Anonymous statistics — to improve try-outs — without name, email or school
What we don’t do
- No public profiles or rankings
- We don’t sell or share personal data for advertising
- We don’t keep data after an account is deleted
Parental consent
When signing up, the teen confirms that you know about it and agree. If you didn’t give consent, get in touch and we’ll delete the account together with all its data.
How to support without pressure
Ask what was interesting
…rather than “what will you be?”. That way talking about the future doesn’t become an exam.
Treat “not for me” as a result
Every career ruled out narrows the search. It’s a step forward, not a failure.
Don’t compare with others
Everyone has their own pace: some know at 13, others after a few tries at 20.
Be honest about your own work
Both what’s interesting and what’s dull. Teens rarely hear stories like that.
Let them try what isn’t close to you
Even if the field seems odd or “not worth it”. A try-out costs nothing.
